What movies/songs/shows ect do you hate the most?

This was an... interesting thread to read through with the mood swinging quite a lot as it did. I will say that although I think I'm generally a pretty positive person myself when it comes to TV, films and so on it doesn't really bother me when someone's being more negative and critical. So long as it's valid criticism and not just toxic trolling and hating on something without any good reason then it's fine by me (even if I don't agree).

To answer the thread's question I've been trying to think of something, but I really can't come up with anything I actually hate like that. There's plenty of things I don't like, but actual hatred's a long way above just "not liking". I feel like I can be very quick to love stuff, but I'm honestly not sure if I'm actually capable of feeling real hate for media stuff. If I don't like something I usually just shrug it off fairly quickly you know?

Oh yeah ads are absolutely ridiculous especially on certain apps. I grew up being forced to deal with commercials on regular TV so I can handle some strategically placed ads here and there. However, I recently discovered we have only Disney+ Basic so we are getting ads during shows in the stupidest places ever. A 1:30 length ad shoved right in the middle of a character speaking. I just don't understand.
 
More of a trend than a specific piece of media, but...

Entire YouTube videos which turn out to be ads. My God do I ever despise them. It's becoming more and more common, and not even my favorite channels get a pass from just how irritating it is. I get excited thinking there's a new sketch or something similar. Then I click on it and it's only a fucking commercial!

Ads which are almost as if not longer than the content is irritating too, and with ExplosmEntertainment it became such a common problem I had to unsubscribe from them. The sketches were already reaching a mediocre quality, so the constant ads only helped make it easier.
 
Sometimes ads do take a ridiculous amount of time in a video yes. I perfectly get that many YouTube guys need to make revenue, especially with YouTube itself bringing creators down one way or another, and I'm fine with those, but it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I've seen YT videos where the sponsor talk takes roughly one third of the runtime.

This Smiling Friends joke on it felt all the more cathartic.

I think I heard him say a little tribadism would've vastly improved the Super Mario Bros. Movie, so he definitely knows the meaning
 
Matty is the most appropriate moderator of a Simpsons forum, because he is the perfect representation of The Simpsons. He hasn't been funny or worthwhile for years and years and years.

Sam meanwhile is Brickleberry, an obnoxcious trend follower to begin with.

@Kangdos. No, I think this thread should stay open because maybe you'll find your enthusiasm for it back. Also, let's let other people continue to contribute on topic stuff.

And regarding the Jurassic World trilogy, I've read enough lengthy Reddit rants on how those are literally the worst movies ever made (which I disagree on, as there are hundreds of worse movies out there; the fact that these silly movies enraged so many I always found kinda strange and peculiar) to question if there's anything more to add on them in a negative sense, at least.

And regarding the Super Mario Bros Movie, even if Kangdos opening post was maybe a bit overdramatic and extremely passionate in its hate, I think there's enough valid reasons for it to be criticized and disliked, so it is not like he is one of few. Just because many of us just found it more of a mediocre kids' film with Nintendo characters it doesn't mean those really disliking or hating it don't have points.
 
Aaaaw, you’re a most appropriate member and perfect representation of The Simpsons too, Kangdos. You joined the NHC in July of 2010 right after it's 9th season and turned one of the best forums of all time into one of the worst. I still want to cry every time I think of your failure to structure your posts :heart:
 
That one was a little bit clever, but it makes sense. As the representation of The Simpsons in it's current state you're now like season 32+ Simpsons, capable of being a little bit interesting every now and then but only when you put in a lot of effort, and most of the time you just default to being tired and pointless.
