The Venture Bros.

Good ep. I like seeing more of Phantom Limb and Dr. I.

I liked Hank's long hair :(

Hader was alright but i still miss Colbert, Impossible just isn't the same without him, also can't wait to see where Phantom Limb's new guild storyline goes. And next week's episode looks interesting, looks like every minor character all in one episode.

I feel bad for Hank, poor kid just wants to be something and arguably unlike Dean, he actually could become something but they're both always fucked over by the status quo more than anyone. lol And now he lost his cool hair too.

I'm also really glad Phantom Limb's showing up again, even if it originally sort of came out of nowhere I really liked his degradation to something so pathetic, so it's cool seeing him trying to get back in the game with his own thing now. Unfortunately the way this show tends to handle things, that whole new Guild will probably end up being a throwaway joke down the line. I hope not, a little permanent change did Brock and 21 good.

yeah, the fact that they brought him back after his last batshit appearance gives me hope it isn't just a throwaway joke. but anything's possible with venture...

i can't wait to see where they take hank and dean. hank seems to have the right mix of competence and crazy to make it in the whole superhero/spy/etc world eventually, but dean's totally floundering. (although didn't he like super science more last year with the whole prog rock episode?)

For all interested, I will be streaming the new ep soon (as in no later than 10 minutes from now)...for freeeeeeeee.

*check my sig*

Smashing ep. That certain character who returned is a "holy shit, I forgot all about HIMMMM!" moment. Loved it.

i thought it was funny how   #1 was wearing the henchman mask under his other mask because there was no other way he would be recognizable

Such a hilarious episode, I don't even know where to begin. The head of the OSI is one of the funniest characters on the show; as is Brock's mentor (I died when they wouldn't stop talking about how bad the stripper's breasts were) + doc venture talking to they teddy and other toys. Shore Leave was great too.

Definitely the funniest of the season.

i knew they wouldn't do it, but did anyone else think how potentially great it would be to add gods to the venture-verse? i mean, things are overstuffed as they stand but in a world that has dr. orpheus, why not?

Yeah the greater exposure for Gathers (Brock's mentor) is one of the best decisions they've made in a bit, the guy's hilarious.

It was all great, I love seeing Pete and Quizboy any day, and 21 (1?) just continues to be the most awesome character on the show. What I love most of all though, is the potential direction they're taking Hank. They've obviously given him so much more focus lately than Dean and that combined with them being apart more and more obviously shows that they have plans for him, especially after hearing Rusty say that stuff. I hope it actually evolves into something and isn't just treated like a throwaway joke down the line. I like the idea of the bros becoming less and less stupid and "pure" as they continue to actually live a replacementless life. Would go with the whole theme of the Rocket-Ship age and all its pulp innocence dying perfectly.

Of course in a...humorous way though.

"And that's why you'll never truly be cool. That little tidbit."

"You have like, five villains in your joke of a society. You've no business here, no business!"

"Needles? Yeah good one. Try huge spikes! They're wonderful and frightening and they go into the side of your neck and replace all your blood. You get your blood back at the end of the summit, unless the loss of life thing happens. Then we'll send your next of kin a big jug of blood and a very nice card."

"Looks like a commercial for coke." "But with less singing." "And more people in tights."
