The board design will look a bit different to the one we have right now, as some of the stuff you see on vBulletin will not be here.
The main page on vBulletin will not have the "What's Going On?" section, as most of the stuff will be placed to the sidebar, like Users Online Right Now, and Statisics. Birthdays will no longer be mentioned on the front page, and there will be no Icon Legend.
Latest Threads will still remain, but don't know about the "Follow The NHC" part, and "Blogs" will disappear.
As for the main Board Structure, the Homers that appear at the left will remain, but I don't know if the Kwik-E-Links can be used. The exact number of threads and posts will now be rounded to the nearest 1000 (I.E. 1.4k threads, 3.4k posts). Your AV will be shown along with your name if you are the last poster in a board, and the time of post will now be something like "5 Minutes Ago, Today/Yesterday/-day 2:42pm, Mar 19 2021, 2:42pm".
The disclamer at the bottom will be edited, but hopefully it will stay on.
The header will now show things like your profile, PM's, Notifcations, Log Out, etc. on the right, under the logo.
If allowed by eric, then a Wall-like feature called Latest Profile Posts will be the new space for Blogs, or for posts that would normally be on the Live Wall, and will be placed on the sidebar.
Thread Lists will also have a make-over as well.
The Pagination and the Post New Thread buttons will swap places.
The text below thread titles will be shortened from Started by Trab Pu Kcip, 05-18-2020 09:59 AM to Trab Pu Kcip - 29 Apr 2020.
The sticky and locked icons will be moved to the right of the thread name, next to the Replies/Views stats.
There will also be a new Thread Ignore button below the sticky/locked buttons.
Like with the Board List, the time of post will also be in the different format (m Minutes ago/Today at/mmmdd,yyyy).
There will also be a Quick Thread Creator thing at the top of the thread list, so that making them will be much more easier.
The person who started the thread's avatar will be displayed at the left, along with your avatar if you have posted in this thread.
The last poster's AV will also be shown along with their name.
On the thread itself, other things will change.
There will be no Reply To Thread button at the top of the screen, instead, you can still post at the bottom of the screen, with an improved quick reply menu, which contains more buttons. To multi quote, press quote on the posts you want to quote, and select "Insert Quotes", then choose the ones you want to quote.
There is no thread infomation at the bottom, as the "People Browsing This Thread", "User Tag List" and "Posting Permissions" info will be removed. Thread Tags will be relocated to the top of the thread.
On the post, the top bar that appears above your posts will be intergeated into the post box itself, so that the Date and Post Count will be inside the white box that your post goes in.
The same goes for the bottom bar, which contains the report button, Multi Quote, Edit Post and the Like button. Reactions will also be contained inside the white box.
The thread title will not appear inside the first post anymore, however Post Titles will still remain as an optional thing.
I also believe that you can also now rename your own threads, so you don't need an mod to come and change it for you.
Your mini-profile (which is at the side of the post) will be centered.
Your custom title and username will be moved to below your AV.
The stars above your name will not be in Xenforo. Colored names will remain, though.
If you are part of a group, you will see a box explaining what group that particualar user is in (I.E. Moderator, Admin, Site Owner).
Your post count will still display in your mini profile, and so can your Join Date, and Location.
You can also see the option to share a thread to a friend on a social media site.
Reactions can vary from a positive reaction (Happy, Like) to an neutral (Sad, Angry) to an optional Negative reaction (which is the equilient of the dreaded Thumbs Down button the forum had back in the pre-split era)
Xenforo will mean that your avatars may have to be cropped a bit, because of XenForo's limits on AV's. Sigintures may have to be shortened.
As for the design, I'm totally alright with keeping a design like this, but it might need a few color adjustments. For the other designs, if it's possible, the Dark Mode (or the Black and White design) needs to be remade, despite it being the most easy-going on the eyes in a dark place. I can say that it won't be an option when we complete the migration. The Sleek and Evergreen designs look like they're going to the chopping block, where the NHC Mobile design will be completely discontinued, due to the fact that XenForo supports mobile in their main design (not the best of news if you are using a slower phone, as it will be consuming more resources and loading times will increase).
And that will be a few of the things you'll be seeing different in XenForo!
Disclaimer: Trab Pu Kcip is actually not in control in setting things up, and that most of the info gathered here is based on other sites. No final conclusion on the design has been reached. What you might see here may not match up to the final product.
