Already very glad that The Simpsons got renewed for more seasons after Season 36, so let this upcoming season begin, but... Not until later this fall obviously (meaning we'll have to wait four months from now)

Note that it's tradition for any celebrity that visits the writers room to sign the wall, whether they guest star or not, so it's not a hard confirmation

Thank you very much for creating (and updating the style) the thread again, @Dark Homer . You should add yourself to thankful list, because your contribution is also valuable🥹

3 organization questions:
1) what does the opening post style reffer to this time?
2) that runoff thread is the same what TOO HOT thread was? If so, I guess it needs to be stick
3) why there is a wildcard * in the title of thread?

We have a little bit of his emotional backstory — that's exciting. There's one about the Quimby family. We get deep into their backstory in a very creative way." (Cracked)

Episode 2 of Season 37 seems to be missing on the list. Any particular reason why that is?

36ABF22 - Yellow Mirror
Very excited for this one as a fan of Black Mirror. I’m hoping it’s a THOH-esque Halloween episode and not just some random regular episode with a Black Mirror parody title. It’s probably gonna be the latter

"We're doing a Chalmers episode where he becomes a manosphere kind of guru selling male beauty products."
interesting to me how we are getting another Chalmers spotlight episode. like I am a fan of the character just kind of curious why he has received such a screen presence boost in recent years, outside of Shauna also getting lots of episode presence

I think the whole Steamed Hams kick a few years ago made the writers interested in exploring his character, so he’s more than just the Aurora Borealis guy. That’s how I’ve always viewed it. But it could also be as simple as “they feel like it”

They talked at the New York panel last year how they've come obsessed with this new sexual player persona of Chalmers

The Selman era seems to be really interested in both Chalmers and the van houten family, Personally I don't mind but i wish skinner would also get some love (luckly it shows that this season he would get an episode too)

Not really, sometimes producers/invited guests will reveal a title on social media after a table read but it's not an obligation or anything (note to contributors, this is not a call to action)
2) that runoff thread is the same what TOO HOT thread was? If so, I guess it needs to be stick
Yes, but I think there are enough stickied threads

also assumed that Steamed Hams was the catalyst for that, especially with "The Road to Cincinnati" a few seasons back

not surprising to hear considering based on his appearances this most recent season

definitely would be nice to get some more Skinner stuff, can't really think of a notable episode for him since the Skinner and Edna plot lines from the teen seasons

I think the whole Steamed Hams kick a few years ago made the writers interested in exploring his character

So Chalmers was rejuvenated by memes.
He now belongs in the same illustrious pantheon as Rick Astley, McDonald's szechuan sauce, and neo-nazism.

- A Lisa and Marge episode about thrifting culture that's so popular in kids
Gosh, this sounds like a Lisa version of "Marge Be Not Proud". I love the idea😍
Oops, I had misunderstood the origin😬. I misread "thrifting culture" as "thefting culture". Thrifting culture is still cool theme. My family and some colleagues likes thrifting shopping - in fact there can be better goods (including in the way of quality) than in the premium shops. This story can have entertainment.😊 or emotional, if adding Marge/Lisa conflict

thefting culture is right with how overpriced some of that bs is
