Fair point. That wouldn't be the first time they do such a thing in a Treehouse of Horror, like the Moefinger skit being so thin they had to throw a poor James Bond song parody in to fill the quota (EDIT : almost forgot there was a couch gag in this one in addition to the usual 2 minutes opening skit).

Somehow, this is even sadder than if they just wanted to cram 5 stories into a 20 minutes episode from the beginning.

Well, guessing the Bambi one will be one of those ones where the Simpsons play the animal characters (so, Bart most likely being Bambi) and also that I'm probably going to want to ignore this episode as much as possible.

... if it's part of the episode I guess it's interesting seeing Lunchlady Dora though. Has she ever gotten killed in one of these? Not counting the "nearly everyone dies offscreen" ones like The Homega Man. For that matter, has that ever happened to Cletus? Considering how some of us feel about the Spucklers, that might be neat.

All right, I'm sorry for the double post once again. But hey, the promo pictures for The Wayz We Were are now up on FOXFLASH, and not THOH XXXII. So here's what the promo pictures for The Wayz We Were looks like

Fox probably just wanted to hype it up with that poster and didn't bother with the promo pics. Also so happy to see Maya back she and Moe worked great as a couple! Hopefully, this was the romance Selman teased when he said Moe might have a love that'll stick around or something like that.
That could be true. Yet, we don't really know which one of the upcoming Season 33 episodes where it'll explore Homer's relationship with Grampa yet, it wasn't Bart's in Jail as far as I know

Haven't seen that episode in 10 years when I rented a copy of the Season 20 DVD, but I remember it being sweet and Maya herself being adorable. Quick Google search of the episode showed me the pic of her pretending to be a doll which was actually pretty funny.

Guess I have a good excuse to revisit that one now for a refresher.

EDIT: @Brad Lascelle, Yeah, why not keep her around since it's Tress doing the voice and I remember liking her character. My only guess for if they don't again would be they only want to change the status quo once every few years and it's not that time yet and/or the writers think Moe is a good character only as long as he's being miserable and being constantly put down.

Sounds like The Ringer segment for this year's Treehouse of Horror is actually gonna be a Lisa segment. Plus, I might be all right if the Telltale Bart segment would happen before The Ringer segment and then possibly the black background for the ending credits with green text for the credits in where the credits would play over the black background afterwards

As @GlitterCat astutely noted, they were able to marry off Comic Book Guy and still keep him as his socially-distant, sardonic self. His demeanour is partly why Kumiko fell for him in the first place.

No reason for Moe to do a 180 in his personality just because he's got a relationship with Maya. Plus, it would open up some new storyline possibilities for them to mine.

They could have Maya as a fixture at Moe's tavern... possibly implementing some ideas that actually stick as opposed to his many infamous remodels/resets that don't last 22 minutes. And, failing that, they could rehash a Cheers storyline or two.

They could have a Christmas episode where Moe's family gets together with Maya's family for the holidays. Perhaps there's a gag where he expects them to be tiny like her and they wind up being giants.

Moe and Maggie storylines always work. Why not incorporate Maya into the mix and task them with babysitting the Simpson kids one night?

Bart's girlfriend storylines have run long in the tooth. Pull a different spin on Lard of the Dance where Bart feels neglected due to all of his friends having dates for a school dance so Maya takes pity on him and agrees to be his chaperone. Naturally, her cover gets blown, Bart gets depressed but then Moe lifts his spirits by encouraging him not to rush things and to be himself. It'll all work out in the end. It did for him. He could then get Bart to help him out at the bar to lift his spirits before sneaking off to crank call Bart in a role reversal of Bart crank calling him for countless years.

Hell, make Maya a staple friend of Marge. Goodness knows she needs some. Marge, Maya, Kumiko and Sarah Wiggum can form a new social circle.

How much more of status quo Moe is there to mine? I'm fairly certain they've tackled everything. It's time to shake things up. #Moeya

Huh, didn't expect Maya. A couple of times between Tapped out and at least one of the episodes they were teasing him and Dora (that's twice in a row I've brought her up...) but while I'm really not sure about a perma Moe interest... especially when Kumiko falls into "perfect hot anime waifu" territory that's still kinda cringeworthy. But then that's not the same with Maya, she's a misfit in a way that, like Moe, is also not idealized so it fits better. If it was gonna be anyone, it's probably best to be Maya.

Wonder how the Smithers/Moe shippers are gonna feel, though.

Looked at those promo pics for 'The Wayz We Were' and I did almost a double take.

Well, so Maya (the little person) is back and hooks up with Moe again (!). Probably one of the most unexpected yet interesting turns in recent years (I could never have guessed they'd have an one-off girlfriend come back and getting back together with the same guy, especially when she left him for a good reason) and I love it already. Always thought she was a good fit for Moe and they were adorable together, but sadly it ended on a sad note... Up until now, that is. What a pleasant surprise this was.

Like others have said, please have her be a mainstay (I can imagine a lot of possiblities for her, plus having her would add some nice diversity to bood) and let Moe have a girlfriend (maybe even have her become his wife later on?) and be happy with a woman for once. They have been doing some good stuff with Moe every now and then in the modern era ('King Leer'), 'Eeny Teeny Maya Moe' was a solid early HD episode & Maya is voiced by a regular (Tress) so the building blocks are there.

If they have the two leave the other in the end to go with the ol' reset button, I will be immensly disappointed (and it might even hurt the episode) & a big problem is the episode being an Al Jean & Joel H. Cohen effort so we'll have to wait see how it'll be like (and I hope that it will be a good Jean episode for sure).

Maya's come back is definitely not something I was expecting, but why not. I would certainly be kind of disappointed if she returns just to lead to the same conclusion than her previous appearance (unless there's good writing behind it, which isn't something I expect much from a Jean / H. Cohen effort), but we'll see. I would have prefered this plot being the sole plot of this episode though, instead of being just the subplot or a main plot paired with a subplot (that being said, Eeny Teeny Maya Moe ended up being fairly good, and it did have a subplot).

I will write in preview thread, but that's combo worried just after revealing last year :/

Because that the TV rating for Treehouse of Horror XXXII in The Futon Critic mentioned TV-TBD, that's probably why there are no promo pictures for Treehouse of Horror XXXII up on FOXFLASH at all. So maybe Treehouse of Horror XXXII could be rated TV-14

Surprise surprise! The promo pictures for THOH XXXII are now finally up on FOXFLASH. Allow me to show you guys what the promo pictures for THOH XXXII from FOXFLASH looks like down below

Well, Tree Rollins will probably get a Halloween name for the ending credits anyway. But hey, I'm looking forward to THOH XXXII, because that seems promising already

Almost forgot, Matt Selman hinted there will be another episode besides Bart's in Jail about good side of scams. And you needn't be genius to understand he says about "You Won't Believe..." (UABF07) episode. I'll put it in quote tag in case if/when Selman will delete this respond
- Great episode about the bad side of scams
- next we do one about the good side

Well, hopefully UABF07 won't be too bad. But it sounds like it's probably gonna be a funny one

And perhaps UABF07 could be an episode where we'll explore Homer's relationship with Grampa, but we'll wait and see until probably next spring
