We might as well slowly but surely do all of the seasons.

In my opinion, season 4 and season 7 are the most overrated seasons.

I will do my list shortly mate and the only episode rating of yours I STRONGLY disagree with is D for Last Exit to Springfield, deservedly recognised as the best or one of the 5 best Simpsons episodes ever created.
 
The first season I ever bought when it first came out.
A Solid "A"
Season 4 has some of my favorite episodes ever. Although I always say that about season 4-6, but that's because they have the best episodes.

I'm gonna rate every individual episode after I watch em' again as its been a few years.

Almost like a compilation of great classics, season 4 is consistently funny and memorable. Stands out for me as what the Simpsons should be and the benchmark for comparing all previous and subsequent seasons.

I find season 4 pretty overrated. The stories just aren't as well executed as in other classic seasons and, to me personally, it's not as funny either. The only one that I really really love from this season is Duffless. In the bottom 3 classic seasons

This is probably my favourite season (Season 6 comes close). A lot classic episodes when the show had very strong stories while still being funny.

Best season ever
 
Season 4 what a fantastic season! Alike Season 3 in style, humor, writing, and it's absolutely one of my all-time favorite seasons (well the early ones are). It's hard to decide as they're both brilliant seasons but in terms of consistency S3 wins it yet in terms of the amount of classic episodes S4 wins it so I'll say that the two of them are quite equal in my eyes.

On the whole it's probably the season I would show to someone who has never seen 'The Simpsons' and probably the one I could just grab a disc and watch the whole thing time and time again if I was bored. Love this season to bits and it earns an 'A' from me.

Season four is the pinnacle of The Simpsons - as close to flawless as any show could ever hope to be. The stories are a little more surreal than season three, but no less grounded, memorable and exceptional. Even A Simpsons Clip Show, the least impressive episode of the season overall, succeeds on account of its hilarious wraparound material. The humour is also at its sharpest and most relentless, with countless moments that have since been etched into our memories. Episodes like Marge vs. the Monorail, Whacking Day and Marge in Chains herald the wackiness of the ensuing Mirkin years, but they remain focused on the family while simultaneously expanding the supporting cast and universe of the show.
