You don't have to go as overboard as i did, but I love animation so much, i made a top 30 list.

30. The Prince of Egypt

It's hard for me to make a proper, full-fledged list, but Wall-E, Monsters Inc, Up, Beauty and the Beast and Ratatouille are definitely my top five - the first two being #1 and #2 respectively, then the rest being in any order.

In fact, watched Wall-E, Monsters Inc and Up (along with The Incredibles) earlier tonight in a Pixar mini-marathon, and they are seriously amazing. Wall-E is, without a doubt, the most beautiful piece of animation I have ever seen.

I like:

My Neighbor Totoro
Howl's Moving Castle
Princess Monoke
Spirited Away
Kiki's Delivery Service
Shrek #1 and #2
The Toy Story Trilogy
Cars
Princess and the Frog
Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Early Disney films

Heven't watched it in a long time, but I really like The Incredibles. What's Brad Bird doing these days anyway?
Also, it's not totally animated, but Roger Rabbit is a classic. I hear they're doing a sequel. Hopefully, they don't screw it up.

I'm not a big animation film lover, but here's my top 10.

1) Toy Story 2
2) Up
3) WALL-E
4) Monsters Inc
5) Spirited Away
6) Digimon: The Movie (mainly for nostalgia)
7) Pokemon: The First Movie (dito)
8) South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut
9) The Sword in the Stone
10) Sailor Moon R
11) The Triplets of Belleville

This thread is ok with those usual line-ups of Disney/Pixar/Miyazaki-movies,
but I really like to discover new stuff, so it would be helpful if people would mention favorite animated movies which are more obscure/not that well known, like BM did.

That looks really cool. I'll be sure to check it out!

It's not exactly obscure (I think), but how about Mary And Max? It was aired last year and has become one of my favorite animated features ever made.

Also give a try to Satoshi Kon's movies.

Try watching any early Ralph Bakshi movie from 1972-1977. That is usually considered to be his best period.

Also try "Watership Down" (1978), "Allegro Non Troppo" (1976), "Heavy Metal" (1981), "The Tune" (1992), and "Sita Sings The Blues" (2008).
