11.10 La grande vie.jpg

The Prescott (11.10/08-01-2020)

For the once and only time, this is an episode which features a character interviewed in an other place (Ariel's feet).

So, in this one, Alex's company gave her some special apartment. A luxurious one in a great suite. So, Alex invites the parents, Manny and Luke. Each one wants to enjoy this complex's pleasures, but can't due to stupid rules. It was very nice to see some plots such as Phil and Jay's fighting virtually because Phil does have a culinary blog and searches always new visitors.

But he accidentally insulted Jay (whom he did not recognize especially thanks to his nickname) and he also searched to taste a new type of sandwich. Meanwhile, Jay got tired about Manny's habit to comment every movie and searched for a new place. Gloria was terrorized by soem aquatic pool while Claire became obsessed by a new hair salon, and Mitch and Cam wanted to meet some celebrities like Courtney Cox and David Beckham.

But it turns out Luke and Manny were the ones wo met them instead after spending the whole episode trying to search some semi cougars.

Notes :

- No Haley, Lilly, Joe or Dylan in that one, not missed.
- Stephen Merchant returned as Higgins since 5.18. Or his twin.
- French title : La grande vie (Shares a title with Parker Lewis 1.17 awful episode, it means the big life)
- Production code : 11ARG08
- Some stars featured as well like Maik Diarah who dubbs Courtney in all french movies she appears as well as tv shows or almost. She is also Lois Griffin and Francine Smith's french voice.
- Snoop Dogg appears as himself in the episode, but is only voiced.
- The Prescott is the building where Alex lives, temporarily.

11.11 L'amour d'un père en héritage.jpg

Legacy (11.11/15-01-2010)

The first time i saw this episode, i find it awful. Now, i changed my mind and i appreciated some plots.

Let's go with Phil. He wanted to visit Frank in Florida, because he heard some rumors. This part was very touching, and i liked it very much. Too bad Frank marks his final appearance. The character died and so did his portrayer Fred, a few months later.

Meanwhile, Claire and Mitchell found a familial secret, meh. And Cam and Gloria helped each other with their personal problems, including Manny and Lilly's (well, Lilly was a bit useless in that one).

As for Jay, he decided to make Joe a future salesman and introduced him to his project. Just a filler.

Notes :

- French title : L'amour d'un père en héritage (A dad's love as an inheritance)
- Production code : 11ARG12
- No Haley, Alex, Luke or Dylan in that one. Luke was mentioned and missed, but strange because it was the three former's grandad. This also was Alex's last absence on the show.
- Sarah discovered the episode a few time before us and was even surprised about Frank, because as she did not participate, she did not received any script, obviously.

Dead on A Rival (11.12/22-01-2020)

A great failure. So, i will resume very quickly.

Josh Gad returns a final time as Kenneth and offers Phil some space travel. To be honest, it was just annoying. Phil liked the idea and actually secretely asked Haley and Claire for advice ? Just forgettable.

As well as the three others stories, involving Manny's play during which Javier shows up a final time as well in order to tell Gloria, his son and Joe that he won a cruise. Meanwhile, as Jay recommanded Margaret for Alex's project, Mitchell and Cameron tried to reunite Paul Dooley and Ed Asner.

Notes :

- No Luke, Lilly or Dylan in this one, making it Luke's last absence on the show.
- Production code : 11ARG13
- French title : Un cadeau inattendu (An unexpected gift)
- Margaret's last appearance (same reasons for Frank above), although Margaret was mentioned some episodes later.

11.13 Paris sera toujours Paris.jpg

Paris sera toujours Paris (11.13/12-02-2020)

@Wile E. the Brain @Liks @Cloopid blorapope c'est notre épisode ! :)

Spuds (11.14/19-02-2020)

So, i'm back to English language. A very average one. The intro sucked, and the whole family gathered at restaurant in which Jay suffered from back pain, Joe's play was almost ignored and Cam and Mitch tried to give Lilly some advice. Plus, they received a call from the adoption agency while Phil and Claire wanted to chaperone Haley and Dylan.

Notes :

- Alex, Luke and Manny are seen as their former selves during some archive footage, so they appear
- Production code : 11ARG14
- French title : Séquence émotion (Emotion Sequence)

11.15 La marche à suivre.jpg

Baby Steps (11.15/18-03-2020)

So, the finale is close. In this episode, Phil decides to finally fix one step. He was totally obsessed by that in the first season, then the gag was omitted. So, in this episode, Claire's leg gets stuck in the upstairs while she has a professional interview with Wendy Malick in order to find a job as some vice president.

Jay came in the house in order to help Phil, Luke and Dylan but quickly developed an allergy to some mushrooms Phil growed in the basement.

Meanwhile, it seems that Mitchell and Cameron had some difficulties to adopt a boy, while they gave a for and an against list, they seeked advice from Lilly, then learned from Gloria they could buy a new home.

And Haley and Alex went to some fair, when they met Arvin (yep, they brought him back for some episodes).

Notes :

- No Manny or Joe in this episode, making it their last absences and the last one in which some main character miss.
- French title : La marche à suivre (The step to follow)
- Production code : 11ARG15
- Wendie Malick stars in this episode, playing the woman Claire meets via Skype.

11.16 La famille s'agrandit encore.jpg

I'm Going to Miss This (11.16/01-04-2020)

In the prior to the last episode, the family finally celebrates Easter. While Phil and Claire leave the twins to their paternal granny, they also leave the house for Haley, Alex, Luke and Dylan but soon return. It turns out they made a party earlier but it went wrong. Now, they have to find a snack's egg among some others, which are chocolates one. And Alex was almost sued by a neighbor after he slipped on the floor and nearly avoided this by becoming his personal slave.

Maybe Phil and Claire are still young to prevent this from happening (plus, Julie's feet).

Meanwhile, Mitch and Cam finally met their new son Rexford and left their old home with the help of Gloria who learned to Mitch how to say goodbye. Notice Lilly is the one who reassures them, once.

As for Jay, this week, he wants to initiate Manny to wine tasting. Notice the referee is Joe, original.

Notes :

- French title : La famille s'agrandit encore (The family grows again)

The Finale (11.17 and 11.18/08-04-2020)

Yep, the show's last episode. In it, Phil and Claire discover the house is too full and try to convince at least one kid (or more in Haley's case) to move on. Mitch and Cam also move on as they finally leave for Missouri while Joe has an haircut. Jay has a surprising gift for Mitch and Cam.

In the second part, Phil and Claire learn that actually, everybody leaves. Mitch and Cam left their old place to Haley, Dylan and the twins, while they happily decide to live with their kids, in Missouri. Manny works in France on Javier's cruise boat and even if Joe "coached" him, i wish they could have been more scenes with him.

Same for Alex and Luke whose fates are quickly resolved. Alex goes to Switzerland in order to work with professor Finnermann (yep, he was back for the grand finale as well as Jotham, Sal, Longinus, Ronaldo and Ptolemy) while Luke only had a sentence resuming his life : I'm going study to Oregon.

But the three siblings had a small story in which they were forced to remake an ad for a dog after Luke was tricked by his two sisters. Phil and Claire now can use the winnebago while Jay and Joe discover Gloria's family in Columbia. I was a bit disappointed by the finale, but still.

Notes :

- French title : Vous allez nous manquer (We are going to miss you)
- Production code : 11ARG17 and 11ARG18

I'm on hiatus now !

So, let's start with some Charmed episodes

1.03 Au nom du père.jpg

1.03 Thank You For Not Morphing (21-10-1998)

So, the Halliwell have new neighbors, that's cool they made a party. Except... Except Prue really does not want to attend, because she has some work to do, but her siblings pressure her because her (ex) boyfriend Andy is here.

Hmm. I don't know why, but in this episode, men are depicted as either boring or mean or mistrusted. The girls also receive their dad, Victor (played by Anthony Denison, here, but by James Read in future episodes). Prue still hates him because he left them when they were young.

Meanwhile, the neighbors are not so cool, they are shapeshifters and want to take The Shadow's Book. Yep, that book is very rare.

Notes :

- Shannen Doherty (French voiced by Anne Rondeleux) plays Prue, the oldest. She also starred in Highway to Heaven, Beverly Hills and Little House on the Prairie.
- Holly Marie Combs (French voiced by Dominique Chauby, then by Dominique Vallée starring season 3) plays Piper, the middle sibling. She also played in Pretty Little Liars and Grey's Anatomy.
- Alyssa Milano (French voiced by Magali Barney) plays Phœbe, the youngest. Magali's dad, Jean dubbed Victor. Milano also played in Who's the Boss and Grey's Anatomy.
- Ted King (French voiced by Patrice Baudrier) plays Andy, a cop, and Prue ex's boyfriend thought they slept together. King also played in Frasier 9.23.
- No Darryl in this episode, i will expand him in the next review.
- First episode to feature Leo, played by Brian Krause. He barely appears in it, only twenty seconds. Krause also played in Castle (but in a different one Milano appeared in), Tales from the Crypt (5.07)... He does not have any relation to Peter Krause. He is dubbed by Benoît du Pac who dubbed a character in Frasier (7.03, aka Carlos, @stryke, Hello). Du Pac also dubbed some Family Guy characters like Chris's hippie teacher Doug or Preston (first voice).
- Oh, so , you are lawyers ? I believed you were demons ^^
- In this episode, James Van Dineen has a cameo in which he is as well dubbed by Du Pac. He was casted as a detective in an unaired Charmed Pilot.
- Marcus Flanagan (Erik, the chief) on the picture also starred in 70s Show (in a very lame 3.09 episode)
- French title : Au nom du père (In the name of the father)

1.05 Le sorcier des rêves.jpg

1.05 Dream's Sorcerer (04-11-1998)

A very interesting one. I really enjoyed it. So, Prue is in restaurant , precisely, the Quake, where Piper works. Some wheelchair guy named Whittaker Bergman offers Sky, a waitress, a drink, but she refuses. At night, Bergman manages to enter into Sky's dream while she is asleep and kills her.

Because Prue also turned him down, Bergman wants to make her his next victim and almost kills her, but some scenes like the bathroom one were very interesting.

B plot consisted into Piper and Phœbe making a spell in order to make them very attractive. Apparently, women are lucky. They don't have to put some choco cake 's bits under their armpits, like men. But the spell works too well. Piper flirts with a guy named Jack while Phœbe dates a guy named Hans.

As for Andy and Darryl, they investigate and discover something very interesting...

Notes :

- Apparently, Holly hated that episode (which she said in her podcast).
- Dorian Gregory plays Darryl Morris, Andy's friend and partner (professionnal way). Hs also starred in Sister, sister. He is voiced by singer Antoine Tomé on french track.
- Neil Roberts who appears only five seconds, plays Prue's boss, Rex Buckland. He also starred in Sliders, 3.12. He is voiced by Emmanuel Curtil who also voiced Bane Jessup aka Antonio Sabato Jr in season 2 episodes 9 and 15.
- Bergman is the first mortal the sisters have to vanquish.
- Andy and Prue only share two scenes together, one being at phone and the other being with the sisters while Prue recovers at the hospital.
- Prue is said to be 27 in this episode, yet she celebrated her 28 th birthday in 1.04. Maybe a continuity error.
- French title : Le sorcier des rêves.

1.16 Clones en série.jpg

1.16 Which Prue is it anyway ? (03-03-1999)

Here is an episode entirely or almost entirely focused on Prue, if we except the scene in which Phœbe learns kickboxing (just like Niles in Frasier 7.16 but for different reasons).

So, original plot. Some lord of the wars decide to kill some people. I actually never managed to understand why Monro Brownlee (also known in Mad about Irene) was stabbed in the first place, but then, we learn that all oldest siblings are threated. So, in order to avoid this, Prue creates two clones of herself, which empowers her and actually allows her to steal some coffee Piper made...

Notes :

- OK, maybe i'm wrong, but i think this is the only episode in which the villain of the week are a brother and sister sibling. Up until there, i only found either sisters only or brothers only.
- No Darryl in this episode.
- The main antagonist, Gabe, is dubbed by Edgar Givry (Anne Rondeleux's husband) who also dubbed John Malkovitch in several movies.
- The coroner is portrayed by Bernie Kopell. Guess the guy is actually really used to play roles like this, because he was Adam Bricker in Love Boat and also played a character similar in Monk 8.06
- French title : Clones en série (The cloning episode, if i translate).
- Last episode i review with Andy as a main character.

1.17 Le pacte.jpg

1.17 That's 70 episode (07-04-1999)

So, it's a travel from the present, into the past. The sisters welcome each year, their dear beloved late granny's lover who turns out to be a warlock. While trying to escape him, they accidentally get propulsed (thanks to a formula) in 1975. Here, they are not recognized by their mom and granny because they were kids at the time and still had powers (Phoebe was not even born), but they have to convince their family that they are good and escape the main antagonist, Nicholas.

Notes

- And, yet, this was the first episode (and the only for season 1) in which Andy was not present, though King was credited as a main character and a child version of Andy turned up at the point.
- No Darryl either.
- Some known actors . Finola Hugues plays Patty, the mom, who worked as a waitress. She later played in an english show, i think. Jennifer Rhodes who plays Penny, the granny, actually played an harsh mother in Quantum Leap 2.05. original episode.
- And Andrew Jackson starred as Boris in Bigwolf on Campus 2.03 episode.
- French title : Le pacte (The contract).
- Very good music. Also, very touching one, especially for Phoebe.

2.03 Le château hanté.jpg

2.03 The Painted World (14-10-1999)

So, it's a very good one.

Prue is supposed to help Jane , a client, to sell a paint. However, the paint is... cursed. At the same time, Prue recites a formula which transports her inside the paint, where she has to help Malcolm, a guy who is prisoner.

At the same time, i enjoyed as well Piper's plot. It turns out she recently received a gift from her sisters, a club. Her own club named P3. But she still has to make some renovation. She meets her neighbor, Dan (introduced in 2.01) who offers to help IF Piper, in return, can help his niece Jenny with her biology work. As for Phœbe, she wishes she was more intelligent (to be honest, she should have wish she was more responsible) after she failed a potential test...

Notes :

- Greg Vaughan plays Dan, and is dubbed by Antoine Nouel.
- Karis Paige Bryant plays Jenny and is dubbed by Kelly Marot who french voiced Mona the vampire, Ruthie Camden, Helga Pataki and some. Marot is the sister of Tony and the late Sarah who also are/were dubbers. Tony french voiced Clark Kent in Smallville, Michael Kelso and Rich Halke, while Sarah french voiced Laura Winslow and Jackie Burkhart. It's the only episode i review with Jenny.
- No Darryl in that one.
- Holly Fields also played a character in Quantum Leap 1.07. Original version.
- Malcolm, the guy in the paint, still believes a girl can't save a guy. Guess he does not know about Powerpuff Girls. And he still wears a digital watch and some sneakers, despite being prisoner since 1930.
- French title : Le château hanté (The Haunted Castle)

2.05 Masculin féminin.jpg

2.05 She's a man, Baby, A man (04-11-1999)

So, a year ago, they made the dream sorcerer. Yup, exactly a year ago. Now, they made the opposite. In fact, a succubus which is very linked to Phœbe kills some men. As Darryl and his new one time partner, Smith, investigate, Prue finds herself victim of a spell which turns her into a man (Shannen Doherty apparently asked the crew to look like her boyfriend).

At the same time, Dan shows up to the manor. Apparently, his fridge is out of order and he needs some ice. Dan spends most of the episode washing his car and being spied by Piper who discovers he joined a dating club (the same some killed men joined). And he wants a girl like Piper.

Notes

- The Cranberries play themselves at the episode.
- This one happens during a heat wave.
- No Jenny in that one, though she is mentioned. In fact, Jenny left after 2.06, and got mentioned a last time, in 2.09.
- Both Prue and Phœbe have a one time guy in that one, the latter dates a guy who is portrayed by Michael McClafferty who also played a guy dating Paige in 8.02. McClafferty played in House 8.08.
- Lex Medlin, who plays the bad cop, also starred in Modern Family 4.22
- French title : Masculin féminin (Masculine/Feminine)

2.10 De l'amour à la haine.jpg

2.10 Heartbreak City (20-01-2000)

Cool episode about love, very interesting one.

It begins with Cupid who manages to create a love romance and some sparkles between two colleagues, Cindy and Max. Shortly after that, he is assaulted by his false twin brother, Drazi, who steals his magic ring.

Then, the sisters exit from the cinema. Piper dates Dan, Prue dates Jack (yep, the same Jack who appeared since 2.06) and who is a very annoying guy, and Phœbe... is alone, and almost mugged at coffee by Cupid. Well, until he manages to convince the sisters he really is a good guy.

Being honest, Cupid is not so bright, during their second interaction, he directly enters the manor instead of ringing on the door bell.

It turns out that Drazi is one of few demons (if i remember) from seasons 1 and 2 whose reason to wreak heavoc is revealed. He actually loved a mortal woman, but Cupid chose to redirect her love towards a mortal man. Heh, Drazi is right to be mad at him.

And so, he actually begins to spread a plague of hate between Prue, Piper and their guys.

Notes :

- Lochlyn Munro (dubbed by Olivier Jankovic) plays Jack Sheridan. He also portrayed some guy in Sliders 2.04, Monk 3.05 and Daddy Day Care 2.
- Cindy is dubbed by Véronique Soufflet who also voiced Paige starting from season 4, Jenna in season 3, Zoe in This is us, and Meghan in Room 104 4.06.
- Phœbe does again have a one time love, a guy named Kevin.
- Some ex boyfriends are mentioned in that episode, including Andy.
- No Darryl in this episode.
- French title : De l'amour à la haine (From love, to hate).

2.12 Le fruit défendu.jpg

2.12 Awakened (03-02-2000)

A very solid one.

It begins with Piper who gets hospitalized. The reason if she contracted a disease (the Oroya Fever but it's actually Bartonellosis) from a Tropical Fruit called Kiwano.

Prue and Phœbe call Leo but Leo says he can't heal Piper, it does not have any sense. He is the one who has to protect them and if one of them dies, so, do the Power of Three and the show. Anyway, i found Leo very courageous.
But the episode does not stop here. Because at the hospital, Phœbe met a little boy whose Ninja doll mysteriously came back to life and began to infect some nurse and patients while Piper healed.

Notes.

- Last episode to feature Buckland and Jack Sheridan (finally, he exits).
- First of two episodes featuring Matthew Glave as Dr Curtis Williamson. His first name was eventually revealed and some of his life was expanded in 2.20. Glave also starred in Parenthood 6.09.
- Williamson and Dan were the only ones who reacted bad when Piper resurrected. For different reasons, however.
- No Darryl in that one.
- French title : Le fruit défendu (The forbidden fruit).

2.13 Instinct animal.jpg

2.13 Animal Pragmatism (10-02-2000)

So, Valentine's Day is up !

Yet this is not really an episode about love, but still. You have three guys who actually were animals. If i remember, they were a pig, a snake and a rabbit. But two of Phoebe's classmates abuse of her knowledge and converted them. Even if this episode in the only one not to use shadow book, the girls have to find how to stop that.

Meanwhile, as Valentine's day is , Leo is now a mortal after his previous actions and he works at the club. Dan is obviously jealous because Piper pronounced his name when she woke up, and the scene where Leo tries to buy a card is just magnificient. As for Prue, in a curious switcheroo, she is the jobless one now and she just tries how to find a job.

Notes :

- Darryl hates sausages. In french , he hates dried sausage.
- We learn Darryl is married, but his wife does not appear until 5.12.
- Phœbe is vegetarian.
- Steve Monroe, Christopher Wiehl and Tim Griffin played respectively in Monk 7.13, Monk 2.03 and Sliders 3.03
- French title : Instinct animal (Animal instinct)

2.14 Soeur contre soeurs.jpg

2.14 Pardon My Past (17-02-2000)

So, the whole cast appears in this picture. The whole main cast, i mean.

It begins during a party. Phœbe, who recently came back to studies, asks her siblings to be careful. Piper is mad at Prue because she invited Leo and that he and Dan will be in the same place. It turns out that the guy have fun. They drink and discuss about baseball. Then, Phœbe is targeted by someone we don't really see.

As Dan exits, Leo stays with the girls. Even though he is moral since two or three weeks (according to this episode), he still can help. It turns out Phœbe's past life was evil. Her "cousins" (Piper and Prue's counterpart, none of them are never named by their first names, during the episodes), were good.

The demon of week is a sorcerer, more precisely a warlock played by Tyler Christopher (1.02, in the 2002 Twilight Zone) named Anton who used to date Phœbe in the past. Now, Phœbe has a quest to do...

Very good episode about past life.

Notes :

- Jeanette Miller who plays a very old woman (who apparently lived in 1924 and knew Phoebe's evil past life) also was Aunt Eddie in the Middle.
- Brian Krause joins the cast in the opening credits, beginning with that one. This is the only time that his name comes right before Greg Vaughan's name.
- No Darryl in that one.
- Very few comedians for that one, not counting the ones who only have a small line, they're only seven.
- French title : Sœur contre sœurs (Sister vs Sisters)
- Also, Leo's hilarious line : I believed he never would go !

2.15 Ange ou démon.jpg

2.15 Give me a sign (24-02-2000)

So, it's more a police episode than a true witch one, but still.

This one is about Bane Jessup (Antonio Sabato Jr, Castle 6.03) who is a criminal. He actually appeared in 2.09 ans this time, he escapes from jail in order to kidnap Prue (i wish we saw more carry ots m/f scenes). While her sisters search for her, Prue actually finds herself victim of Stockholm Syndrome.

B plot consists in Phœbe finding the perfect way to force Piper to choose the right guy between two people. Just too lame.

Notes :

- No Dan in this episode, though he was mentioned at multiple times. Darryl and Leo each appear in two scenes (not the sames) so this is one of episodes in which the sisters don't have so much help from male side.
- Steve Railsback also starred in TZ 1985 1.48 episode.
- French title : Ange ou démon ( Angel or demon)
- Piper and Phœbe jog together.
- Also, Prue was interested into becoming a photograph again after she learned in the previous one that her past life did that job. Now, she just have the material and won't be hired until the next episode.

2.16 Mauvais sort.jpg

2.16 Murphy's Luck (30-03-2000)

So, we're back to an episode which only features a few actors.

It's Prue's first day as a photographer and her boss Gil Corso offers to hire her but only if she manages to photograph Maggie Murphy, the unluckiest person in San Francisco. Naturally, Prue manages to save Maggie but she now becomes the new bad luck one, thanks to an unnamed bald darklighter.

So, her sisters must save her while B plot consists into Piper rethinking about her relationship with Dan. He is only present in one scene (like Darryl, who disappears after he called the sisters) and in that, he is ... absent because he is in New-York and Piper does not want to dump him due to him being so far away.

Also, Leo still works at P3 and it's funny to se his reaction when he admires Piper's legs.

Notes :

- Phœbe does not play a major role in that one. Yet she still appears.
- Leo claims he has been a whitelighter since a long time (more of 50 years) yet he did not knew about some personal details regarding the sister's lives (and still watches on them since their birth).
- Amy Adams plays Maggie Murphy.
- Kent Faulcon plays Gil Corso. He actually starred in Sliders 2.04
- Notice that Leo is reinstated as a white lighter in this episode.
- French title : Mauvais sort (Bad spell, or Wrong spell).
- Final episode i review featuring Dan.
- Again, Andy is mentioned. Man, Prue really loved him.

3.07 Querelles de sorcières.jpg

3.07 Power Outage (16-11-2000)

So, for the last Prue's episode, i chose a particularly interesting one.

You know the Halliwell were almost only together , right ? Not this time. Thanks to Cole Turner, Phoebe's new love interest since season 3 began.

Now, Cole is not as sweet as Leo. In fact, he is half demon and his demonic side can mess while his human side fell in love with Phoebe. But in this episode, he asks a demon named Andras, to just break the fraternal link between the sisters and it works. Now, the sisters are powerless and against the others.

Notice Piper's personality in that one. Being the middle child is not so easy, and she has also to temper her "neighbor reunion". A very nice moment in which Phoebe is spared by Cole is mentioned as well.

Notes

- Julian McMahon who plays Cole Turner actually played Christian Troy in Nip Tuck, Dr Doom in Fantastic Four and also had a role in Profiler. His french voice is Arnaud Arbessier.
- No Darryl in that one, in fact, the character's role reduced beginning with season 3, he only appeared in a couple of episodes.
- French title : Querelle de sorcières (Witch's argument)

6.17 La rebelle 1.jpg

6.17 Hyde School Reunion (14-03-2004)

So, an episode which uses an old premisce, which is not very interesting. We had Piper acting weird in **cough** 3.09 , now it's Phœbe's turn, though via a different way while attending an old class reunion (very interesting, where i live, this kind of tradition does not exist as much) with Paige, her half-sister. So, Phœbe regresses into teenage days (being honest, Prue also did in 2.22).

Meanwhile, Chris reveals to Piper (and us) that his granddad Victor raised him when he was some 14 years. Oh yeah, Piper and her sister and half-sister learned in the previous s6 episodes, that Chris was her son/their nephew. Now, it's Victor's turn. I actually admit this kind of story was better. Especially with cigars scenes.

Notes

- No Darryl or Leo (though mentioned and credited) in that one. Interesting fact, Leo misses an episode for the first time since... 2.17 . I don't have anything against him, but the character was not very useful in some plots.
- James Read reprised Victor's role in season 3. He also starred in This Is Us 2.08.
- Drew Fuller as Chris is dubbed by Yoann Soaver.
- Rose McGowan as Paige is dubbed by Véronique Soufflet. McGowan also starred in Scream and Once Upon a Time. I personnally have trouble with Paige's introduction to the show.

7.09 There is something about Leo (21-11-2004)

So, for season 7, i'm glad more episodes focuse about Leo. Up until there, his role was quasi present in every episodes between 2.18 and 6.16, then between 6.18 and that one, but now, he is more a "main character", not just the guy who gives advice and leaves.

In this episode, Leo discovers that he has some new powers thanks to his avatar status. He can rewind time, for example, if he is too furious, but the Avatars warn him he can't use it in an illimited way. Leo chooses to tell Piper and the girls about his status, much to his chagrin, because Piper is extremely mad at him.

Meanwhile, Paige and her date FBI Brody (played by Kerr Smith aka Jack in Dawson) try to have the perfect meal together. A breakfast could be considered as a snack, not a real meal. But still... Brody becomes obsessed by Avatars and try to kill them.

And C plot showed Darryl and Phœbe having a minor role as they tried to investigate about Brody. Still, Darryl searches what his partner Sheridan (who is mentioned but does not appear) became, after Brody sedated her. Yup, he enjoys that.

Notes :

- Kevin Alejandro who plays the chief later was on Parenthood (2.07 if i remember)
- Joel Swetow as Avatar Alpha was already present in season 5.
- Kerr Smith is dubbed by Hervé Rey
- French title : Le prix de la vérité (Truth's price)
- Notice Phœbe's hilarious punchline : He is still Leo to us, so stop calling him the Avatar.

7.15 Show Ghouls (20-02-2005)

So, for his prior to the last episode (he actually appeared for the first time in 7.14), Billy Zane reprises his role as Drake.

I loved how all the plots were linked. It begins with an anodine scene featuring Paige who actually organizes a tour for a future student (came with her dad). As the episode progresses, we learn Piper and Leo planned a vacation in Italy with the boys (i wish we saw more scenes with them travel).

But the others characters are not in vacation, sadly. Darryl asks for Phœbe and Drake's help. It turns out his old friend Mike, who also was his mentor but is now a retired cop (well, he works as a security guard, hello, @stryke, does it remind you some show ?) and possessed by a spirit.

Now, all Phœbe and Drake have to do is to travel back into 1899 in order to deliver Mike and some others people whose spirits are stuck in an eternal endless night , trapped under a fire...

Very cool episode, with a cabaret.

C plot consisted into Paige filling in for Phœbe thanks to her ability to change into Phœbe thanks to her morphing power. It added some humor.

Notes

- So, David Anders (Comte Roget, the main antagonist) and Charlie Robinson (Mike) also shared House, though they did not share the same episode. Robinson played in 2.04 and Anders in 8.11 though they were patients.
- Robinson also shared This Is Us with Jim Cody Williams (Toulouse, Roget's second hand) but again, they were not in the same. Both interacted directly or indirectly with Jack, though Robinson portrayed an old veteran saved by Jack while Williams was Marylin (Jack's mom) new boyfriend. Robinson was in 3.03 and 3.05, Williams, was in 6.04.
- Billy Zane and Brian Krause played in Tales from the Crypt, but in a row episode (Zane in 5.08 and Krause 5.07)
- Billy Zane also starred in Psych, 8.10, , Community 6.07 and Titanic. He is dubbed by Pierre Tessier, here. Tessier also dubbed Robert Sean Leonard aka Wilson, and Seamus Dever as Ryan in Castle.
- French title : Tout feu, tout flamme (All in fire).

7.16 Seven Years Witch (10-04-2005)

@TheBohdan

Hello :)

So, i used your advice, regarding the identification.

I don't know if this show was translated in Ukrainian version, but remember i don't like amnesia plots right ? Well, this one was an exception.

And so, it begins with Piper and Paige, who, for the 150th episode, have to save a woman who works in a social company. Some basic demons appear and they manage to vanquish them and to rescue the woman, but Piper is injured in the arm, during the battle.

As the two sisters come back to the manor, Leo warns them he has to be sentenced (in his whitelighter/elder traditional costume). Because he has to choose between his love for his family and his career, he is stripped (not litterally) of any powers and memories and he lands in Texas.

Nobody can't help him, while Paige and Phœbe try to find him, with Darryl's help (still the 150 one but he only has two scenes).

The demons are not the true antagonists. The real one is Odin, one of the founder (John De Lancie aka Q in Star Trek 1985 and who also starred in Filofax and TZ 1985 1.48 episode). He just wants to trick Leo. Bad guy.

It was also nice to see Kathleen Wilhoite in a good role, (she played a stupid one in Quantum Leap 4.19).

As for Piper, her health worsens and she actually finds herself in the limbo with ... Cole. It was great to see Julian McMahon again, his character was missed, if we except the episodes where he was mentioned or just present in flashback. Cole wants to help Piper and i really enjoyed it.

Notes

- So, Leo becomes a permanent human after this one. In season 1, Piper refused him do to so because he could not help others witches, but future episodes depicted the Charmed ones as the only ones or almost he was in charge.
- Julian only had a day of shooting. He also shot Nip Tuck simulteanously.
- The final episode i review with Brian Krause as Leo, Julian McMahon as Cole and Dorian Gregory as Darryl. As it was the 150th , only Brian, Julian, Holly and Alyssa were in the 50th, the 100th and the 150th.
- Also, technically, it was not Brian or Julian 's 100th. It was Brian's 126th one, Julian's 50th one and Dorian's 64's th one. Rose herself did not reach the 100th yet. In fact, she finished her 74th.
- French title : Sept ans de réflexion (Seven years of Thinking)
- Despite Cole appearing in this episode, he is never refered by his name during the whole episode. This also marks the only time where he and Phœbe never share any scenes together.

8.14 Twelve Angry Zen (12-02-2006)

So, the final one.

In it, the sisters have to help some zodiacal Chinese guys who actually want to protect a sceptr against some bad guy . I liked the fact the episodes began one year earlier.

Being honest, the eight season was clearly the useless one. Piper tries to find her love again, (as i said previously, No Leo at all, he is just mentioned), Phœbe has to organize a party in her new apartment (she actually left the manor as a permanent resident in 8.13) and the sceptr wreaks havocs.

As for Paige, now that her boyfriend Henry is aware magic exists, she has to explain everything to him while Billie continues to search her sister.

Notes :

- Ivan Sergei, (Henry) played in the Devil Wears Prada and Castle 7.11.
- Kaley Kuoco (dubbed by Laura Préjean) is Billie. She also starred on Big Bang Theory and 8 Simple rules.
- Clyde Kusatsu played Mr Loopman in Parker Lewis's pilot.
- French title : Le sceptre du zodiaque (The Zodiacal Sceptr).
- Despite having 12 signs, only 7 are shown.

So,

1.08 Drive-In (15-11-1998)

The first episode i've truly enjoyed.

This one begins with Kelso telling Eric that the Drive-In organizes some movie. Eric wants to go with Donna, but refuses Kelso and Jackie's presence. Anyway, they still come because Donna told Jackie to do so.

I admit Kelso and Jackie are not the best couple and i don't like very much their characters. Otherwise, it allowed Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis to become a real couple some years later. But it contrasts between Eric and Donna's couple who is better, in my mind.

Though i laughed when Kelso said Eric can go for popcorn, on his own.

B plot featured Hyde and Fez's ones. For this season, they're the two single guys of the gang. It turns out Fez's origins or true name are never ever revealed, but this episode offers to us the unique opportunity to meet Fez's host parents, the Erdmans. It turns out they blame him because, according to them, rock and roll is the devil's music, so Hyde helps Fez.

C plot featured Kitty and Red. A very small but very nice one. Kitty complains after reading Cosmo (even Red finds those magazine useful) because their couple is not so mysterious. So, he decides they will skip their traditional dinner at Phyllis in order to eat in a fancy restaurant. When they arrive, they discover the restaurant burned and it's now a modern pompous franchise.

Notes :

- Topher Grace who plays Eric also starred in TZ 2019 2.09 episode, Home Economics, Spiderman and Simpsons 19.13 Homer's new car fonction episode. He is dubbed by Mael Davan Soulas.
- Ashton Kutcher is dubbed by Tony Marot and plays Kelso. He also starred with Grace in Happy New Year.
- Mila Kunis is dubbed by Sara Marot. She starred as Meg Griffin in Family Guy. She plays Jackie here.
- Danny Masterson is dubbed by Hervé Rey who also voiced Dylan in MF, Kyle in Last Man Standing and some characters in American Dad. Masterson played in Sliders 3.24 episode and Yes Man. He plays Hyde here.
- Laura Prepon is dubbed by Vanina Pradier. She also starred in Orange is the New Black, and House 6.15. She plays Donna.
- Wilmer Valderrama plays Fez and Vega (in Awake). He is dubbed by Paolo Domingo who voices Steve in American Dad.
- Debra Jo Rupp plays Kitty . She also played in This Is Us (2.03,2.17), Family Matters (4.11), Sliders (8.09) she is played by Dany Laurent.
- Kurtwood Smith plays Red. He also played in House (3.15), Psych (1.09), Dead's Poet Society, Resurrection, Robocop... He is dubbed by Serge Blumenthal, who also voices Professor Utonium in Powerpuff Girls.
- Notice Chuck Norris was originally cast as Red , but could not because he was engaged in Walker Texas Ranger. Kurtwood Smith who was apparently opposite, was cast instead. Notice also that in contrast to his character, Kurtwood is very nice in real life.
- Hyde and Fez never share scenes with any female regular character in this episode.
- Kitty never shares any scene with the gang at all. Red only shares two, one with the boys and one with Eric.
- In french , Red is nicer when he talks about the Erdmans. He refers to Fez as the "boy who is not American", in English he says Tagalong Kid.
- No Midge or Bob in this one. First episode in broadcasting order not to feature them (not missed).
- French title : Soirée au drive-in

1.11 Eric's Buddy (06-12-1998)

So, i particularly liked that one.

In fact, it shows Eric's new friend, Buddy (notice the pun) who also is sat next to him in chemistry's class.

It turns out Buddy enjoys spending time with Eric, but nobody can't figure why. Unless...

Also, notice how Kelso and Hyde are jealous of Eric's new friendship. Notice he also seems closer to Donna and Hyde...

B plot featured Red working at Bob's place. It turns out he is a bad seller, so Kitty gives him some lessons at home. Was very funny to see.

Notes

- Don Stark plays Bob. He also starred in TZ 1.59 in 1985 version and Castle 6.05
- Mitch Hedberg plays Frank and while his character has his two legs, he almost lost one in real life.
- Joseph Gordon Levitt, who starred in 3rd from the Sun, plays Buddy. Kurtwood Smith and Julie Clare (one of the customers) also played in that show, in 4.11 episode, but neither of them shared a scene with him, in any episodes.
- Music : Best friend (Harry Nilssen)
- No Midge in that one
- French title : Le petit copain d'Éric
- Red and Kitty never share any scene with any member of the gang, in that one
