Life after The Simpsons

I bet when FOX finally decides to pull the plug on the Simpsons, Seth McFarlane will take over. God damn Family Guy sucks.:shake:

Life will be good when the Simpsons is cancelled. It should have died a few years back. Though it does kinda suck that Seth will take over and they'll be a few more shitty series like The Cleveland show. Fox just loves producing mindless crap.

I, for one, look forward to Seth MacFarlane taking complete control of Fox's sunday night programming. I'd rather have myself laughing my ass off at complete randomness and whatnot from Seth than be angered and bored with what OFF has become.

3 Cheers for Seth!

It'll be really sad for me when the show does end, but I wouldn't mind a spin-off series. It could be based around the springfieldians like Moe, Lenny, and etc. The Simpsons could sometimes make like a cameo appearance. Or, how about based on the kids of springfield? Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, but when they're older. Or. . . THE FLANDERS! Or, as a reference to the (by then) previous show: THE FLANDERESES!

Yeah. I equate what happened to the show's quality as to what happened to Lindsey Lohan

Lindsay Lohan doesn't exist anymore.
(I love The Parent Trap. However, unlike many offspring of divorced parents, I just liked it for the kids and the butler.)

Life after the Simpsons will result in progression of Seth's empire and his plans to overthrow Fox's comedy line-up with his spin-offs of spin-offs. He'll destroy Fox from the inside and create his own TV network atop the remains!
Afterward, he'll go on and make a string of five to ten minute cartoons that endorse his sponsors puffed up by ten to fifteen minutes worth of commercials.
After that, he'll start an extreme merchandising project with the assistance of Pepsi(because they're whores) and other good friends. American Dad MMOs, Peter Griffin cologne, and Roger Smith sex toys! The humanity!

The semi-final stage of his plan will involve BUYING OUT VIACOM and eradicating their Comedy Central lineup! (And you thought South Park had a chance!?)

The final stage will result in taking over the world and then killing himself atop a mound of odd sex toys or trying to dismantle Disney and the Japanese entertainment industry ...atop a mound of sex toys.
The Aftermath? There is no aftermath! The Simpsons' cancellation will be a warning of the apocalypse.

I just have a very active imagination. Excuse me for my insanity. :ashamed:

I for one will probably be very sad when the news comes out that The Simpsons is finally going to be put to rest. I dislike the direction the show has taken since season 10 just as much as any other fan, but i still have an emotional attachment to the show. After all, this is a show that i at one point in my life (at about age 11-14 to be precise) was so attached to that the idea if it not being on the air anymore was something that actually made it hard for me to sleep whenever the thought came up at night.

There, there....There, there.....There, there....

I always thought the episode Mona Leaves'a was an effort to tie up at least one loose end before the series finale.

I expect more episodes for such a purpose anytime now.

After the Series Finale, people on this message board would start debating if the show ran too long or not long enough. Oh God!

The boards will probably go on forever. One day we'll all be on message boards dedicated to other shows, and still talking about the same crap we're discussing today.

maybe they should incorporate some spin off style episodes before the end of the series. The only reason a spin off series wouldn't work is because it would use the same cast as the original series, who I assume would want to hang in the towel once OFF calls it quits

Regardless of how bland The Simpsons has become, I will miss it once its gone. It'd take a long time getting used to NOT tuning into OFF every Sunday.

A part of us secretly wants this show to outlive our grandchildren. :-/

I agree that as much as the show has gone downhill its going to be difficult to watch it go. I wonder how hyped up and publicized the finale will be before it happens. I would hope that millions of people tune in to see the end of one of America's most classic tv shows.

screw that noise. the bad episodes already far outnumber the good episodes. i'll be ecstatic when they announce its cancellation

Most if not all people who noticed the decline in season 9 and the rapid deterioration in season 10 have likely already moved on to other shows that fill the same role to them that OFF dominated in the first half of its existence. You know, TV has changed since The Simpsons was "better than 99% of what's on TV." Looking back, I'm glad for the doors the show opened and the other shows it inspired. If any show has earned the right to be complete shit for a tad longer than it was divinely awesome, it's The Simpsons.

It's going to be like James Brown's funeral. Maybe they'll make a limited edition black slipcased DVD, kind of like what they did for the Death of Superman comics.

If you think that's anything, i can tell you that in my previous post i was going to express my former love for the show by revealing that at age 11, i actually incuded "and please dont ever let The Simpsons go off the air" in an evening prayer, but i thought it was just too cheesy to admit. But now i went and said it anyway, so there you go.
