¢À¢ÀSince the last season in Australia to finish was 11, which was an extremely boring season i must admit, i believe at the moment the comics are much funnier than the television show. They also have mor einteresting plots to them, as well as much more stupidity from Homer (which Is Funny as hell!) What do you guys think??

I voted comics since the comic series has had fewer duds in the past three years than the show. Hell, the current comic with "Judge Marge" was the funniest Simpsons anything until "She of Little Faith" and it was funnier than the last four Scully eps put together.

I almost lauged milk out of my nose when Lisa tried on Ned's glasses and saw the world through his eyes.

Are you kidding? The comics are a mistake. They're just there to milk money from the popularity of the show.

I agree with you in that respect regarding the first Twenty or so issues, but the comic seems to be getting better over time. The first few issues were terribly drawn (I could do a better job) and the stories were VERY childish, but like I said, the comic books became much better.

I think the show is better, am I the only one here who loves the show now as much as ever? I personally do not think the episodes are getting worse at all. Some are better, the newest halloween one is just about the best episode EVER. I dunno whats happening to the Simpson fans, but its not happening to me

The comics rule, I agree, especially the Judge Marge one yeah I too found it hilarious.

Some of the good comics (most of them, really) are like episodes of the show in comic form. The visual jokes are the same style as the best ones in the show. I think the show's better, though, because the comics measure up to the best of the show, but don't top it.

Do they sell old comics anywhere?

If you want to purchase the first 35 issues (yes, and issue 50) just buy the compilation books. Each one has 4-6 full issues for like $12 each. Some of them also have funny introductions by the man himself.

As for this poll, I would have to say the show is better at the moment. The first 30 or so issues of the comic were great, but lately the newer issues have almost always been based on a recent episode and seem to be lacking in humor.

I disagree.

The issue: 50, which mirrored "A Tale of Two Springfields" plight over the town splitting was fucking awsome compared to its aried bretheren, and number sixty-four's story and humor with Marge being a judge killed the Parent Wrap's shameful display.

The Bongo comics and Butterfinger adds are terrible, and tarnish the name of the Simpsons.

Its pretty funny u ask that. Sometimes both can be on a cold streak putting out bad episodes/comics at the same time. Lately i've seen the quality of the comics level down to the show with the exception of issue 62 which was great in every aspect.

Convert

Hell It might be me , but I think that the contents from the comics should be converted to the actual show, a lot of the stuff in the comics is pretty funny

Comics Vs. Episodes

As a person who has collected almost every Simpsons Comic, the truth is, the comics fluctuate in quality between issues. In general though, the comics have been better than the show has in the last 3 to 4 Seasons, especially the brilliant THoH Comics, which have been brillaint over the last few years, and much better than most of the THoH TV episodes. Also, my favourite issue of the comics is #27, which like the episode "HOMR" parodies Flowers of Algernon and is far superior to the mediocre episode.
