Best pre-Avengers Movie?

What was the best movie leading to the "Avengers"?

I wish I could have voted for Iron Man and Iron Man 2 but hey, I made my choice. Robert Downey Jr. played an amazing egotistical Tony Stark!

On a side note, I didn't like how they changed actors to play Rhodie in both movies.

There was contractual snafu that was going to make the actor who played the original Rhodie be paid more than RDJ and the studio decided to end the contract and get someone else for part 2. That is why Don Chedele's first line was a snarky allusion to the cast change: "It's me, I'm here, deal with it!".

If you don't have anything to say that has anything to do with the thread, PLEASE DON'T POST.

Okay, I saw the Avengers today and it's by far my newest favorite Marvel movie (and the second best comic book movie behind "The Dark Knight").

Anyway what do you think the best lead in movie to the Avengers was?

Do you understand now, Melody?

Eeeeeeeeasily Iron Man

I'm gonna go rewatch The Avengers cos it's definitely worth the price twice

I wonder how much money this will make in the box office?

The Hulk almost seems like he's just a mere shadow compared to those like Iron Man and Captain America. Can The Hulk get some love? What's there not to like about a guy that gets pissed off and Hulk smashes the shit out of stuff?

iron man, of the ones i've seen

still gotta see thor prior to seeing the avengers later this week

stuck between iron man and the incredible hulk; both have qualities that make it the best pre-avenger marvels movie and it's just hard to pick exactly one.

@eric: i've seen it and imo it's the weakest out of the pre-avenger films, confusing plot/characterization, a lot of contrived moments, doesn't seem to have the wit or charm that the previous movies had and thor (the character) doesn't have anything that interests me. You may like it though but to me, it's the weakest.
