1- A Great Big Pile of Leaves v Jestofunk
Ambiversion is quite a pleasant affair, nice breezy tune, decent harmonies, cool chorus. A good summer song. Jestofunk seems ok, house influenced, but a bit monotonous and repetetive for my liking. Gonna give it to Ambiversion
2- The Innocents v Joey Fatts ft Vince Staples
I loved my post-punk shit, so naturally One Way Love delights. The second one has a cool tribal sound, everything else sends me to sleep though.
3- Meiko Nakahara v Machinedrum
Like the former very much, got a cool latin sound (yes i know the song is japanese) Machinedrum - very busy, nothing much happens. nahhh
4- U.S Girls v Young Nudy
OOh this is cool, love the underlying synths, great vocals, come nice hooks. The latter sounds very meh
5- Curren$y v Danny L Harle
1UL is so much better I can't really waste timeon this. Banger
6- Temps mort v Ogibuko Station
First song is Smoothhhh. Ogibuko is ok, nice bubblegum sound, agreeable sound. Fcuk this is close, but I think this latter song is growing on me.
7- Sunk Loto v Spice One
Cool, deftonesy vibe going on with Sunk Loto. Moody, atmospheric, little bit grungy and chill. Spice One is one of the better hip-hop efforts this round, a bit more alternative. Sunk Loto has the feels tho
8- James Carr v Carl Carlton
Sweet little bluesy number this first one, but one of my pleasures is post-disco. This Carl Carlton mixes dance and electro very well, not in love with it by any means, but a cool sound.
