And here comes that slow hiatus for The Simpsons' current season, before somehow ending a few months early. I hope it doesn't become like Arthur in which the season's episode numbering becomes shorter until it's reduced to 3 episodes.

It may not be 2026 in my time zone yet, but happy new year and a hopeful 2026 to all.
I have some kind of sense while watching new Simpsons episodes and pointing out the little isms in the episode. (Random obscure character cameos, the camera slowly zooming during a monologue, the damn waste of just recapping the episode during the end credits like just use the fucking end credits theme, etc.)

I finally at the weirdest episode of Farscape, the one where John and Chiana are stuck in some surreal video game. It's like the live action version of Futurama's "The Sting" episode.

Every time I watch Olive the Other Reindeer, I can imagine the Robot Devil in the place of the postman.
Little audio detail I found while watching Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire. During the scene featuring Homer and Marge in bed, you can hear the sound of a train in the background. Probably ambience or something.
If this future episode tomorrow becomes a marriage crisis episode tonight, I'll do something unusual.

After seeing tonight's Simpsons episode, I could only think of Nelson saying "Aw man, that stunk!" during the Poochie introduction watch party.
Idea: Get a bunch of Simpsons fans in a movie theater every October and have them Rocky Horror the entirety of TOH 1 - 7. (Also TOH XX because it's my personal favorite)
I'm trying something over the past few days, and that's another movie sync, Roger Rabbit with Pink Floyd's The Wall.

I think this might be a deep cut parody for a TOH segment idea but...
"Too Many Springfieldians": Spoofing "Too Many Cooks", we follow a lengthy title sequence as we are introduced to our favorite family... and their friends, the workers at school and the power plant, the Springfield police force, and so on. Deep in the title sequence, however, is a sideshow seeking out to hijack it all.
Went to my local comic con, and besides getting some Sonic comics, I found these two important things:
1. A trading card signed by Laurie Steele (the voice behind One Piece's Alvida)
2. BART SIMPSONS' GUIDE TO LIFE!
With a post detailing that Pink Floyd's album covers have gone minimal, imagine if that happened with other bands and singers:
"A baby is shown swimming, trying to reach out for a dollar."
"A photo of the singer is shown with the birth year as the title."
"Four men are walking down a crosswalk."
"5 yellow skinned people are poking their heads out, the title is in the middle.

A classic animation studio has gone away, R.I.P Nelvana. Now it soars with Tintin's rocket and the Care Bear's cloud cars to the big sky of animation legends.
Thinking that The Simpsons might be an inspiration for one of my series (it's the one with the laid back otter as the MC), alongside with Rocko's Modern Life and Lucky Star.
I have a quick theory on Milhouse lip-syncing Nelson's line simultaneously in "Bart the Daredevil", perhaps Milhouse is a ventriloquist and was practicing throwing his voice to Nelson's mouth.

Watching "The Otto Show" and noticed this Comic Book Guy imposter, perhaps he came all over from Shelbyville:
Trying to do one of these "Dark Side of the Rainbow" esque syncs with The Muppet Movie and Talking Heads' "Little Creatures", some of the syncs I found so far include:
- "Uh-oh, uh-oh" (The Lady Don't Mind): Fozzie realizes his fat sailor joke has gone wrong, due to an ire of an angry member in the audience.
- "Doesn't everybody here believe in the things we do?" (Perfect World): Doc Hopper is about to show Kermit his commercial for his frog legs chain.
- "I know you want to leave me." (Stay Up Late): Kermit and Fozzie drive by Big Bird, who the latter states that he's on his own mission to try and break into public television, leaving the bird behind on his journey to New York. -
