The Official Season 19 DVD Thread (December 3, 2019)

Does anyone know if the Australian release discs are dual region (region 2 & 4)? Or just region 4? In the past, DVD discs were quite often the same for regions 2+4 even if the cover said 2 or 4 only. I used to buy DVDs from AU, even if I'm in region 2.

Was season 20 even released on DVD in the UK?

There was a region 2 release at least for the Nordic countries (FI, SE, DK, NO). That's the copy I have. Pretty sure there was one for the UK as well, but can't remember for sure, so maybe Don is right (as usual). :) PS If someone in the UK/EU is desperately seeking a copy of S20 (R2), I could...

    LEGO Simpsons

I don't know what the others think, but that 'leaked' photo of the first set looks fake to me. The car, for instance, looks like a Lego car from the 1970s rather than 2014. And some other things are 'off' too. And would this set really have 2500+ pieces and an age recommendation of 12+? I...

The Simpsons Archive moves to simpsonsarchive.com

FYI, at the moment snpp.com and simpsonsarchive.com are separate, and the updates are applied to the latter only. Snpp.com will shortly begin to redirect to simpsonsarchive.com, ie. offering the same content - for the time being.

The Simpsons Archive moves to simpsonsarchive.com

More news, big for me at least! While I'll definitely continue to work on the site, Don Del Grande is now the webmaster of the Archive. You'll soon reach me at jouni@(that new domain), while webmaster@(that new domain) will go to Don.

The Simpsons Archive moves to simpsonsarchive.com

Long story short, it was never our domain, we just had a chance to use it for free for 18 years (since 1995). And we're also changing the host, first time since 1994.

The Simpsons Archive moves to simpsonsarchive.com

Big news, I guess. The URL www.snpp.com is not working properly at the moment, but you can reach the site at www.simpsonsarchive.com . In fact, this is now our primary and soon to be our only URL. In other words, SNPP leaves the good ol' snpp.com domain behind. It will work (redirect), once...

Sam Simon diagnosed with terminal cancer

Sad news. "'If you leave out Sam Simon,'' Jon Vitti says, ''you're telling the managed version. He was the guy we wrote for.'' Jay Kogen, a former producer at the show, agrees. ''Sam had this amazing conception of Springfield,'' he recalls. ''He kept expanding the idea. He knew the freedom...

    Kindle book by Mike Reiss

"Tales of Moronica" is a Kindle book by former show runner Mike Reiss. According to Mike, it's a fantasy novella, very Simpson-y, for smart kids and dopey adults. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AW0UX5U

Fox (sort of) loses case with Duff Beer

Duff Beer banned in Finland. Not by Fox or their lawyers, but the health authorities. "Finnish officials have banned the sale of beer carrying the 'Duff' brand label, saying that its association with The Simpsons animated series makes it potentially appealing to under-aged consumers."...
