I saw catching Hell a few years back and I just rewatched it again online and it is pretty damn good. they make a hundred minute movie about a play that lasts like what. 10 seconds? the only part of the bartman story (outside of bartman himself) that interests me and was glossed over were the 2 "friends" that were with him.
did you watch indiscretion of an american wife on tcm?
i haven't watched it yet but apparently there are 2 versions
maybe that will explain why it didn't meet your expectations as the runtime on my recording of it is only 78 minutes, nowhere near the 90 minutes that de sica released himself
disclaimer: some nolan films are embarrassingly high, and there are a bunch of movies that i loved as a kid, and i haven't rewatched them in forever to see if they suck or not. i also really need to rewatch a lot of cassavetes.
I think they are pretty much equal in quality. But the reason i find season 9 to be a little better than 2 are because it has Lisas Sax, The Cartridge Family, The Joy Of Sect, Lisa The Simpson. All which i find to be slightly better than season 2s best episodes. Itchy Scratchy And Marge, The Way We Was, Lisas Substitue, Three Man And A Comic Book Guy. Oh wait, then season 9 does have The Principal And The Pauper, All Singing, All Dancing, Bart Carny, Trash Of The Titans. Ya know, i dont think you should let me judge those seasons until i have rewatched them.
