Should Marge have another baby?

So, should a fourth child be added to the Simpsons cast of characters, or should the current lineup remain?

Yes, of course. That way Fox can cancel The Simpsons and Start "Homer and Marge plus fhe four kids that don't age for some reason".

^I know you were quoting The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show, but adding a new character might bring down the ratings. I mean, even though I wouldn't like this forth child, I would still watch it, but some fans might not.

I don't think so. The Simpsons should stay as they are with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Santa's Little Helper, and Snowball II. Although if they were to have Marge give birth to a fourth, I'd still watch it.

It would be like replacing Maggie's role to the show.

Before season 12 started there were rumours of an episode called "And Gerry Makes Four"

Those were some scary times. Not as scary as the actual season 12 though

it would just make Maggie's character weird I mean she's the cute lil baby who doesn't talk and take care of the baby role for the family, plus Maggie's like 1 or 2 in the show and never ages so how old would this baby be 6 months old forever?

Yes, and Homer should be allowed access to a time machine, and gary glitter should guest star, and marge should get a sex change.

of course not. Maggie is the baby. adding a fourth child would decrease viewership {which this past season was very bad for ratings} even more.

It was already considered in I Married Marge. And that's just enough.

Oh dear god no. It would add nothing to the show, because they already have a cute li'l baby; the novelty-factor is nonexistent.

If they added a baby to the show, Maggie's role would be replaced and pretty much every new chapter would have to be about the baby, and that would suck.

Adding an extra kid is so fanscriptish.

Then it would be Homer and Marge + 4 --the premise of the show itself being about Homer and Marge having their own TV show following the kids and Homer and Marge in their fictional parallel universe (got me so far?). The series would work toward Homer and Marge breaking up in an imaginary world, divorcing and Homer going out with some blonde chica, and Marge being a bossy obsessive bitch. The characters who watched the show chronicling Homer and Marge would obsess over them. Fox Executive's post inspired me...
