Bongo is looking for artists

Hi everybody! Bongo Comics is looking for pencillers and inkers to work on our line of books, (Simpsons Comics, Bart Simpson Comics, Futurama Comics, Super Spectacular, etc.). We are not looking to publish any original material, and you must be 18 or over.

Send your submissions to:

Bongo Comics
c/o Nathan Kane
PO Box 1963
Santa Monica, CA 90406-1963

Or if you’re so inclined, you can send a pdf of your samples to portfolios@bongocomics.com. Please keep files under 7mb in size.

As far as what you should submit…drawings that are Simpsons or Futurama related would be great, of course, but they don't have to be if you don't have any handy. Ideally, any non-Simpsons/Futurama art would be of other licensed creations, so we can see your ability to draw to a particular model. But although we'll use these drawings to check out your general skill level, we will more importantly be looking closely at your Sequential Art/storytelling skills, so we don't want to receive just pinup or spot illustrations. If your submission is what we’re looking for, you will be sent a pencil or inking test, as appropriate. Please be aware that we will not be able to return any submissions sent to us, so send us photocopies of your work. Thanks!

Ooh, you took my bitchy comment. Is the writing still in the state it was in when I gave up buying the comics a year ago?

No, it's a lot better now. I won't really comment on this thread because I've already asked my questions over at PEEL

Nice opportunity. I wonder if the recent hiring of a certain space coyote led to this.

From what I've heard it's very time consuming. I actually think doing the pencils would be more interesting...with inking you basically just draw over every line on the page again.

I'm currently re-structuring my 'mechanics' of art of drawing Simpsons. Last time I posted my art was like last year when I was in Krustylu. Maybe about 10 years later for me

It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance."

No, no Kiyo it's not a competition or anything. I've already asked Chris stuff regarding submitting things, and applications never actually close. You can really send stuff in whenever you want.
