Worst Beatles song?

Since I've been a fan of the Beatles in 2002, I started to hear a lot of Beatle/rock musics and I quite enjoyed them.

For Beatles, there are a lot of good songs such as Get Back or I'm Only Sleeping OR Back in the USSR

But there are some BADASS songs too... here are some IMO:

Wild Honey Pie, I Am the Walrus (although it sounds bad, it's my top Beatle 20), or Maggie Mae

Do you think there are more bad songs from those music legend quartet?

do you know how to write a damn sentence, or are you too busy hitting home runs, striking people out, and playing 6 different instruments?

the answer is octopus's garden.

Can't say I've heard and remember every single Beatles song, but I seriously cannot stand I Am The Walrus. It's barely even a song, never mind a good one

i somehow just don't doubt it

can you at least understand animosity towards it, compared to the rest of their catalog?

Sorry, Logan, but that was my favorite Beatles song during my childhood so I'm biased towards it.

Wild Honey Pie is easily the worst since Revolution 9 isn't even a song at all.

Revolution Number 9: I wouldn't call it a song, ...but that weird Calliope of noise with the words Number 9! Number 9! Number 9! ..repeated endlessly,... Must of been fun for them to play around with their mixing boards. But who else but them could enjoy that noise pollution?

Revolution 9 popped up in my song shuffle while listening to my iPod a couple weeks ago. I believe my exact words were: "What the fuck was that?"

And I forgot about Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Pretty horrible song as well

I don't mind Octpus' Garden either. It's a stupid song, but it's pretty catchy

There's an instrumental song in the middle of Yellow Submarine where they experiment with hard-edged guitar that is just so out of place. I'm not sure the name of it, but if you have seen the movie you will know which one I am talking about. Even the visuals for that song don't fit the movie. It's just wrong.
And Revolution 9.
And Norwegian Wood, unless it actually is about what I used to think it's about, and then it's funny enough to be good.

i have trouble picking a worst. but hey, this thread inspired me to listen to the white album tonight.

The correct answer is "What Goes On?". Terrible guitar playing, bad arrangement, Ringo singing...just an all around mess. Rubber Soul filler.

Runner ups:
"Love You To". George's Eastern-Indian bullshit. This song always gets skipped when I listen to Revolver. Incredibly boring.

"When I Get Home". Has the line "I'm gonna love you 'til the cows come home". Enough said.

OK, I have a few:

"Wild Honey Pie" -- the downside of Side 1 of The White Album. Sensless pile of crap.

"Revolution 9" -- They couldn't take it ruining just ONE side of an album. They have to put this on the last side of The White Album too. The only good thing about it is reversing it so you can hear the Number 9 man say "Turn me on dead man".

A lot of the ones people mentioned above are quite good. I enjoy a lot of the "cornier" songs:

"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" -- who doesn't like listening to Paul singing about some homicidal maniac?

"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" -- fun song.

Looking above, I'll actually agree with skittlebrau that "What Goes On" is terrible. I also hate "Any Time At All" and "When I Get Home".

I also don't really enjoy "Octopus's Garden". My favourite songs though, are "Baby You're A Rich Man", "Rain", and "The Inner Light" (although I hate everything else of George's Indian shit). Oh, and "Real Love" (do reunion singles count?).

I THINK "ONLY A NORTHERN SONG" IS THE TRULY WORST BEATLES SONG.

Because they didn't want to cheat their fans by putting singles on their biggest album just to fill out time.

Haha, I love that song too. Although I didn't before I heard sufjan's version. I also liked revolution 9. though I get why people don't like all these songs.

But honestly, the first thing that I thought was obla di obla da. or blue jay way.

i don't know. the rumor is, Paul wrote that as a joke making fun of Ringo songs. have no idea if that's true or not, but that's certainly what it sounds like.

I'm not a Beatles fan, but I just downloaded Maxwell's Silver Hammer and found it catchy and funny. Downloading the rest of the songs mentioned just out of curiosity...
