* Six Days to South Park -- The Sixth Day (About Last Night)
* The Making of "Major Boobage"

Hopefully we also get the mini-commentaries from Trey and Matt.

We better get them. It only takes them an hour, anyways. But three extras...wow. Haven't seen those since Season 2. (when Warner Brothers made the sets) Though the wording seems to suggest that they only exist on Blu-Ray, hopefully not...

All fourteen uncensored episodes from South Park's twelfth season are now available in this exclusive three-disc set. Comedy Central and Paramount Home Entertainment have announced that South Park - The Complete 12th Season will be released on March 10th, as a 3-disc DVD set. On the same day, the studios will also make this title available as a 3-disc Blu-ray package, marking the first time this program has been made available on high definition home video. Running time is 308 minutes for 14 animated episodes, provided uncensored as compared to their original broadcast versions.

Video format is confirmed to be in Full Screen for both DVD and Blu-ray, although the video resolution on the Blu version will be 1080p high definition. Audio information was listed, too, and it shows that the DVD release will be English-language with sound format as "Dolby Digital, Stereo". The Blu-ray release of this title will have the same format as a secondary option, but will primarily provide sound in 5.1 Dolby TrueHD. Both come with English subtitles.
Pricing and package art isn't available yet either, but the studios did include a list of Featurettes that will be found on the extras for both the DVD and Blu-ray editions of South Park - The Complete 12th Season

that's awesome artwork! i actually thought it'd be cool to do the cover like that.

the season sucked though, so i'm not gonna be picking it up, unless its at a low price.

Looking forward to this, we're only up to the season 8 DVD box set here in the UK, but were getting the rest of them in 2009 (Better save up my cash for them all).

Also, that's gotta be the best SP box set cover art I've seen. Also, nice to hear that this season will be uncensored on DVD. I know season 11 was uncensored on DVD too, but why were all the previous seasons censored on DVD?

Because they used to "bleep" episodes in the studio mixing, even before giving them to Comedy Central. Now I guess they save the original audio files and place them on DVD/Blu Ray.

Oh, I also read (probably over a year ago now) on the southparkstudios.com FAQ that there is a possibility they could re-release (or I guess now release on Blu Ray) all of the episodes uncensored (according to an answer to a question, if it's even possible?).

I'd rather have the episodes censored, it's always been part of the show's charm. Plus it made way for some great jokes, like Garrison's "fag" analogy in "It Hits the Fan".

i'd assume that if the bleeping itself is part of the joke they'd keep it in there.
