Notes:
As soon as I heard that 20th Century Fox was releasing animation artwork from Futurama, I knew I had to purchase something. I am a dedicated fan of the show and love the unique style of animation used to create each episode. Since the show is created on a computer cels are not available. Production drawings are the only form of production artwork that are released.

However, technology has created a new form of animation art which has become extremely popular. Giclee's (pronounced j'clay) are amazingly high resolution pieces created by more than four million droplets of ink per second sprayed on canvas. These pieces are absolutely stunning. I've never before seen artwork with as vibrant a color as a giclee. They are overwhelming to look at and are easy to see why many people pay extreme amounts of money for them.

This piece is fantastic. The colors jump off of the canvas and create a magnificent image that recaptures the first episode of Futurama in all it's glory. If I was not such a big collector of production cels, giclees would be hanging all over my walls.
